Default Baffles for Short Shots...

I like the look of my V&H SS's, but they can sound a bit high pitched at times.
I got $1000 GC when I bought the bike so I just had HD get the pipes and install.

Would they have the standard V&H baffles in them from the factory?

I know others have complained about this, anyone find a good baffle to deepen the sound a bit?

Thanks.

How many miles do you have on 'em? my seem to be mellowing out a bit.(either that or I'm losing more hearing) The standard baffles come in the pipes. I thought about wrapping my standard baffles with fiberglass cloth, or taking them out and welding a washer into the inside end of the baffle.

right @ 8k miles.

I thought I remembered someone talking about BCT (sp?). Does anyone have anything besides stock, or no baffles?

you could try a set of V&H Quiet Baffles. They aren't really 'quiet'. Even with them, I thought Short Shots were too loud. For me, anyway.

I would buy these they slip into the end of the existing baffles and secure with a screw in the end. I have friends that love em !!!

Here is the link for what you need for your exhaust...

Seems I remember someone trying these and they didn't fit so they had to grind them down somehow. They did get them to fit. Do a search and you should be able to find the thread.

I have used the Big City Thunder baffles before and they will give it a deeper tone.
