I bought directly from them, order online or give them a call, they will answer any question you have. Seems I paid $79 plush shipping

I have heard about cutting baffles, only thing is if you don't like it then your stuck having to buy new baffles anyway. But if you buy extra you allways have the stock to go back too.
Also the further up in the pipe the baffle is the deeper the tone.
But from personal experience on my old softail with V&H pipes, the BCT baffles had a much deeper tone.

I've heard mixed reviews on BCT's.

I have the vh quiet baffles installed on my 48 and the sound is perfect. And I am not fond super of loud bikes.

I too have the Quiet baffles in my SS and i love them. Set up that came with the pipes which is standard baffles wasnt too loud for me IMHO, but it did sound to tinny and raspy. The quite Baffles didnt bring down the overall sound level too much however too me they cleaned it up quite a bit and made it sound like a nice deep rumble. I love them and dont regret getting them at all. Short Shots are a LOUD pipe no matter what
