Lets see your speaker set-ups!

At the risk of sounding like a touring bike snob … stick with your ear buds. Search the touring forum and you will find hundreds of guys bitching about the chitty / tin sound from their four … four!! … stock HD speakers. I also love my music, so last year upgraded to Hogtune speakers on my Ultra Glide, and it now kicks rock-star ***. Sorry, but speakers on a Sportster just aint right, and I’d hate to see you spend the $$ on a system you are not happy with. Don’t trash me for being honest … just my 2 cents.

I hate hearing boom boxes in cars and the same on bikes in traffic. That's why I'm putting my speakers in my helmet. I've seen groups of bikes traveling together and every bike be sounding a different tune...like a freakin carnival ride if you ask me.

Well it's all about what you want on your bike, but if you pull up next to me with a sportster sofa wanta be and what I mean by that is the people who dress a sportser as a big decked out tour bike, I'm gonna laugh my butt off at ya. The choice is yours but in my opinion the sportster is a nimble fun simple bike. You add all that frou frou stuff and you lose the core of a fantastic bike. I prefer my ear buds with my iphone, I've seen the posts about people being worried about hearing what going on around them. You can hear stuff other then you bike? I barely can so the ear buds are just fine. To the folks that just want to soak in the riding thing.... I get it and do it on occasion but sometimes a good ride with the tunes cranked up is just the thing I need to may my day!!!
