What is your favorite sportster

Hey guys thanks for the input . fatbob159's chopped hardtail has to be one of the nicest sportster choppers ive ever seen . I love my dyna and miss my sportsters. Too poor for two bikes so have to keep what I have. Love seeing what everyone is doing here with there bikes. Seems to be a bit more daring over here chopping and so forth than on the other models forums. There are a few kick *** dyna bobs/ chops too (thank God). Nice to see the chopping / bobbing spirit is not dead but alive and kicking. Thanks to all who posted pics... and I knew someone would answer this question with "Mine"..

I was scared of EFI when it first came out... didn't want to lose the classic Harley sound. I was surprised to hear a really nice tone out of the EFI H-D's though.
As for which is my favorite Sportster... simple. Mirage Orange/black 2007 Nightster, and for great reason. I can't ride an Ironhead, Forty Eight, Custom, etc., but I CAN ride a Mirage Orange Nightster. If I had an Ironhead sitting in the garage (and the time to work on it to keep it running). I can admire someone else's bike (and often do), or I can ride and enjoy ours (and again, often do).
Incidentally, my next fave would likely be the first years Forty Eight.

I'm biased but I'm gonna say my 02 883C. I love the Nightster and the 48, both look really good and I would have bought one if I could afford, but now that I have my 02 and that I'm modding it a lot, I haven't seen one like this yet which makes me love it even more. All the Nightsters I see around here are stock for the most part so they all look the same.
If not talking about factory HD, then the Sportys from the Japanese guys are Orange (forgot the last part of the name) are really sweet.

My two Sportsters (2005 XL1200R and 1977 XLCH) are my favorites, or at least the XLCH will be one of them when I'm done. The Ironhead XLCH, to me, is the iconic grandfather of the breed and my favorite rendition of it is the 1965 version. Just too bad I haven't got the patience to own such a finicky machine...
