Default Struting the Swing arm

Have any of you all taken off the rear shocks and replaced them with struts to make the softail hard for any reason. I'm looking to do this so i can drop my frame rails to 4 inches and build a bad *** springer front end but I'm having a little creative block ... some pictures would be great thanks guys

i had looked around on the web but they are almost all very generic. I was hoping that someone had a little more custom look for them.

If you're building a springer you can build one of these.
