Default Finally removed those stems!

I've wanted to do this for a while. Finally got around to it. I removed those long rear turn signal stems. Really cleans up the look, imo.

Ya, I'd like to see how you did it as well. This turn signal issue has me in a quandry. I really am stumped as to how to handle it, but yours look great. Do you just ditch the stems and bolt the signal body directly to the struts?

All the bolts that hold the rear fender on had to be removed (at least this is how I had to do it) The nuts on the back of the signals can be removed with a 1/2" wrench. You'll need to unplug the signal wires from underneath the seat, I ended up cutting them and reconnecting. Once you get the strut covers removed, the signals come off with them. To remove the stem, I used a 5/8 deep socket. I cut the wires so I could pull them trough the stem. In place of the stem, I used a 1/2" bushing (painted black) and a short 5/16 bolt (I don't recall the exact length). I connected the signals to the strut covers only, not actually to the strut. Put some heat shrink on the wires next to the signal, ran the wire between the strut cover and the strut and back up under the seat where I reconnected. Hope this helps some. I'm sure there's probably some different, maybe, easier ways to do it. I'll try to get some better pics when it is daylight.

Thanks man, this helps a lot! Not sure if I'm gonna do it this way but this is one of my top options and it's nice to know how you did it.

I really think some smaller, bullet style signals would look really cool. But this will work for now.

I found this site last night and am giving these LED strips some serious consideration. Get rid of the outbord signals all together. I don't know...

That looks really sweet man! I wonder if it can be easily put on an 883C.

Those would look pretty awesome! I'm sure the installation can't be that bad either.
