Default TANK BAG for 3.3 gal sporty ??

Hey everyone,

So I have been looking at a tank bag as a possible additional source for storage, however most of the tank bags I have seen are either too big, or simply only big enough to hold a gps or cell phone. While I have seen some of the Daytona bags, IMO they look like fanny packs for a Harley and I have zero interest have that anywhere on or around my bike ( sorry if I offend anyone who has it just not my style ). If any1 has pics of one on their bike or can give me a personal review I would greatly appreciate it and so would my wallet ( as then I could avoid buying something I'll regret )
Thanks in advance,
Matt

No pics. Sorry. The last time I ran a tank bag (on rice rocket) I lost it on the free way at 80 MPH and some very expensive air craft parts that were in it. It was magnetic and I did not have the leash on it. Tank bags are made for Japanese bikes with a large flat surface on top of the tank for them to sit and adhere to which you probably know.

I saw a tank bag with a speaker for an iPod. It was actually pretty nice. Fairly big. I was gonna buy it till I saw it was 200 bucks.

See if you can find a Nelson Rigg CL-50. Its discontinued but you may be able to find one. Works great.

I have the joe rocket hammerhead. The tank bag is shaped similar to the 3.3 gal tank, so i think it actually looks pretty cool. Not a huge bag though but it does the job.

Here's a link to the review : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luTI2rUGtbI

And here's how it looks on an Iron : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e5eAzEZWDQ

Hope this helps!

I bought one of those HD iPod magnetic tank bags for my Droid and the first time I wound up through the gears, it moved to the side and almost fell off. Returned it the next day. I don't think there's enough flat surface on a 3.3 for a magnetic bag to work reliably.

Tank bags predate Jap bikes here in Europe! They are not exclusive to them, if only because not many of them have steel tanks, as what looks like a tank is actually a plastic cover. So move on from that argument! If you lose or have problems with a magnetic bag, that is user error and not the fault of the bag FFS! I have a small Givi I occasionally use on my Glide, but there are plenty of other European brands, as well as US ones.
