Never use a power washer to clean your bike. Get out the garden hose and scrub.

Like he said, try to get some high quality cleaners that are meant for this.

The Heavy duty Engine Degreaser you can get in auto stores or other strong degreasers may be too harsh for the engine paint, I dont know.

It;s a big reason many people dont like riding in the rain, it makes the motorcycle fiflthy.

haha, not a dumb question. i havent washed my bike since i bought it back in may. too busy riding it. i was just gonna use regular soap and the garden hose out here and use a bit of elbow grease on the engine to get off all the oil and grime.

yea, thats what I thought.....it sucks that harley's are shitty when it comes to this. I mean I have used a pressure washer on every bike that I have ever owned and no issues. Cbrs, Sv's, cr's, yz's, rm's noting never.....why...why does my sportster insist on making my life a living hell? any how, thanks for the info except you mywifeisshot
