Those are 2 wire whereas stock is 3 wire. They will only function as signals or brake lights, or as running lights, but no dual-function.

Also, you only need a load equalizer for going LED all the way around. LED works fine up front or in the rear only.

Like jackal said, no equalizer required and signals or brake not both, as factory lights are a 3-wire setup.

Unless you swap out the module for $60 unit that converts a standard 2-wire light into running/turn/brakes. Which is what I have as my Canadian Sportster 48 had a regular Sportster rear fender with center mount brake light and the side lights were turn only, 2-wire.

Now they function as my running, turning and brakes lights.

I believe you should have 3 wires. One for ground, one for brakes, one for running lights. So you'd need a housing that supports a dual filament bulb.

Sometimes lights like these have a ground strap coming off them so they ground through the frame right where they are mounted, so those two wires COULD be for a dual filament setup, but you better confirm. I'd hope they would use something other than red / black if that were the case.

My bike is right outside. I'm going check if the signals are 2 wires or 3.

ETA: Just checked, rear signals are 3 wires; black, purple and blue. I don't have a test light so I can't tell what one denotes signals or running lights. I'm presuming black is the ground.

Yep those ones from Lick's won't work. This is something like you'd need.

Picky, picky. Lol

I've spent like a whole 3 minutes on Google and Ebay and it seems like black bullet style dual filament lights in not LED are a bitch to find.

Might have to go with the ole chrome + scotch brite + spray paint = not so chrome route.
