I run HD hard bags but do not recommend as the rings around the locks are not UV rated so every 2-3 yrs you gotta swap them, and the bags are not big, 1 jacket can fill them.

I suggest the HD hard bags that are paintable, they hold a fair amount and you can customize them to your hearts content.
What happens to the rings given no US rating?

We are the ones that posted the picture of a bag with 2 one gallon milk jugs in one bag. These bags will hold 30 twelve oz. beverage cans per side.
They are lockable, detachable and have a 5 year waranty. Several trim options available.

Keep ridin'

What model are those bags? Any forum discount?

I don't understand the question/joke. I've heard that the locking leather bags' trim ring (around the lock) cracks and lifts from the leather. I guess you glue new trim rings in place.

They crack. But like everything else H-D makes, the rings can be ordered separately at very little cost and easily replaced.

Good morning. I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if you still have the sporty and the bags in the image you shared? Can you tell me about the bags? Size? Lockable? Brand? Thank you for all your help.

Go small! Leatherworks. No hardware needed. Straps under seat and rear shocks. Quality stuff. Doesn't take away from the look of the bike and you can still carry stuff.

Nice ride!!!
Thank you, but I'm looking for something bigger, hard, and lockable. Going on a cross country.

True, you need something bigger for that.
