Small bike, my butt! When I started riding in the 60's, the BIGGEST motors Harley made were 1200 cc's. The panheads from 1948-1965 and the shovelheads from 1966-1984 were 1200's. Those were the "Big Twins" and were considered HUGE. I'm sure Voony's elderly girlfriend thought those bikes were "real." And now my 1200 isn't a real Harley? Riiigggghhhhttttt.

But I have no problem with these threads. Ignorance is amusing.

I do know that bikes 750cc and less are classified in a certain bracket and 751 and greater in another. That's one of the reasons statistics favor Harleys in the "big twin" cruiser market. It means all those cruisers 750cc and less don't count towards taking their market share in that braket and probably motorcycles in general. Most sport bikes are 750 and less as well.

I've seen some pretty bad *** 1200's that can snap your head back. I almost bought one for my first bike but settled for a softtail. I still may buy one for a second bike for work or build my own jumper.

All the "not a real bike" and it's a Harley for girls" comments make me love my stealth bike all the more. Outside of the obvious (D&D 2-1 exhaust) it looks like a bone stock Iron with forward controls. Yet somehow it has more HP and torque than my CVO SG sitting next to it (for now anyways).
Always fun on a ride or at a light when someone with a big twin makes a snide comment about my Sporty just before they get left a time zone or two behind.
