That's pretty much what I've heard about the fat front tire conversion - seemingly more stable in a straight line and less nimble in the corners, but once you get used to it the difference is negligible. I am looking forward to reporting on my own experience...

Wilwood's? I wondered how the coating would hold up - obviously doesn't at all. Starting a new thread with that before and after photo might help some guys make a decision on trying - or not trying - black rotors. Could title it something like, "Black brake rotor/disk warning". I think after seeing your pics I'd just stick with polished stainless if I ever want/need to replace my rotors. Good photo.

Yeah, I found that when cornering with the big tire I have to use a little more input to make the bike track where I want...then again I had no aspirations about mine being a canyon carver to begin with.

The extra effort is only required during transition, once your at the lean angle.....then it wants to stay there. So all around Id say its more stable, feels better planted, straight up or in a lean, just going from one to the other takes some getting used to. And the faster you go the less it wants to move. Theres a section of interstate close by that has a fairly sharp curve (for an interstate), at 75mph it scared the chit out of me cause that bike did NOT want to lean, and then didnt want to UNlean Dammm physics

The Roadster has pretty much spoiled me on the curvey sections and I get the contrast on a regular basis...

I think those fat tires look great, but you've convinced me to stick with my skinnies. And new wheels ain't in the sporty's budget, saving that kind of money for a bigger Harley. Already bought skinny new Avons anyway, just gotta find time to put em on.

Just finish reading through all of this and I got to say this looks to be one sweet bike, and the best build thread can't wait to see the finish bike.

I'm feeling a major update coming soon. Ergo has been MIA since yesterday morning. A lot of build can happen in 24 hrs. I'm thinking a very happy Ergo will be on sometime today. (Rubbing hands together in anticipation)
