Nightster Winter Makeover

Might narrow the field of buyers a little, but forwards seem to be preferred today. Kind of like painting a bagger pink; color will put off some buyers, but a few will actually like it.

I took the afternoon off and spent it prepping the engine for painting. This is tedious, tedious work. I'm only about half done taping off all the things that won't be wrinkle black. Here's how I left it tonight and I'll pick up again tomorrow morning. I'm taking the day off to take the frame and another box of parts to the powder coater and get the engine prepping finished. I'm gonna try and get the engine completely painted this weekend. I'm gonna try...

Blue and gold engine, that would be unique. Do you think... nah, paint it black. My sporty has plain unadorned metal, would like to have the black and chrome like the newer customs, don't think I could do a good paint job without pulling the motor, and don't want the bike down that long. Lotta work, as you well know now. I did it to a Honda over 20 years ago, wasn't worth the effort, but it did turn out nice. Guys that like to tinker need two Harley's. At least.

Looks like a vulcan 750 with a rear wheel mounted on front? Curious if hes going "brakeless" or if he has plans to install a brake rotor on the shaft/drum wheel.
BTW Good fun following your build!
