Been there and done that on other projects... looks great!@ I just popped them into the sand blaster. Still maintains the benefits of chrome, but looks brushed.

Progress
Got tired of waiting and stopped by the powder coater at noon today to find out what was going on. Everything was done except the orange highlights on the triple clamps. So I told them to forget that and give me everything. I'll do the triple clamps when I do the frame. I really needed to get this stuff back to the shop and get things mocked up. So I've got the wheels, the lower fork tubes and the rear sprocket powder coated gloss black. Everything looks great...but, one of the fork tubes has some rough spots that I am not happy with. Didn't notice it until late tonight...I was busy mounting the tires on the wheels. I'll take the fork tube back at some point and have them redo it, but damn I'm just way short on time these days. Going away for the weekend and probably won't be back in the shop until after Christmas. Damn. Oh, and to top it off I forgot the camera today and had to rely on my cell phone for pics. Double damn.
Anyway, here are some pics of the wheels and tires. They came out perfect. I am really pleased with the way they look completely blacked out. Got the tires mounted and then I had to split.
I apologize for the quality of the pics. I'll take some better ones the next time I go back. As you can see I got the wheel bearings installed on the rear wheel but the front wheel I have to wait until I get the front end on and work out the spacing before I press the bearings into the wheel.
Anyway, I love the way the wheels look with the spokes blacked out. It's gonna be a long wait till I get back in the shop...

Ya, took mreed's advice and trued them up before taking them to the powder guy. They are what they are now. No changing them at this point. But appears worth it to me. The black spokes look amazing. Come on man. Spend some (more) money.
