Installed Ricor Intiminators in the Sporty today...

The intiminator sits on top of the damper rod under the spring, so it goes into effect before the springs opening and clisong it's valving to allow more or less oil to flow through it. I don't take my reviews lightly and have ridden plenty of bikes that are only lowered and a bike with intiminators rides much, much better.
As fat as the statement above I copied and pasted from the Ricor website. Didn't mean to confuse anyone. I agree $90 is less money but when i spend $300 I expenct a much better difference than I am going to get for $90.

I am running them in my 07' N....probably 15k miles on them. My front suspension was constantly bottoming out before and I don't think it has done it since the install. The intimidators and a superbrace have my front end about as good as it gets. The difference is amazing and well worth the $300....but that is just my point of view.

I finally had an opportunity to take the bike on a nice ride yesterday through some canyons. Wow, too bad it is only an 883. This thing is so stable now that it ALMOST rides like a sport bike in the canyons. Hanlding was much improved and the front end is so stable that i can give it all it's got while leaned over without any sort of negative reaction from teh front end. Gone is the wallowing. Hit a bump leaned over and forget about it. No effect on the bike whatsoever.
This bike is my new canyon carver when i want to leave everyone in the dust. I only wish my softail had as much ground clearance as the sporty. The combination of the intiminators with the 13.5" Progressive 440's make for an extremely stable ride. Still sorting out the exact setting for the rear shocks as if i leave them too soft it does not feel right with the intiminators up front, but this is a winning combo for the sportster any way you toss it. It should be fore the amount of money I spent on everything, and this bike has reached it's potential.
So, Progressive 440 13.5" rear shocks in the rear, Ricor intiminators in the front. It is an 883L with stock springs as well. The rear shocks are 1.5" taller than the stock shocks and make a big difference in handling and ground clearance when leaned over.
If you are seeking to make your bike easeir to ride in the twisties, go for it.
