That is likely what's going to happen! Still have to get estimates done today. Buddy at the chopper shop told me to get the parts researched, and he would calculate the time/labor for the estimate. She already started looking at other bikes...she really wants an orange one.

So... here is your new orange bike honey can I come back in the house now

I have dealt with insurance co. before, don't worry! Not my first rodeo. With the value of the bike, and the labor cost alone to fix this thing, it's gonna be a no brainer anyway.

Just surprise her. Hide the wreckage, then when she asks how much you spent on her for your anniversary, just tell her "Ummm, whatever an 883 is worth".

Glad you are okay.

Estimates are in. We'll see how the insurance company is going to play.

Wife had to fly to Chicago today for work till Thursday. Wish I could have a new one sitting in the garage for her when she got back.

I gotta do something, she's really bummed...

Since the bike is a 2000 just let them total it and go get her a nice new Super Low to make up for you wrecking her bike.
