Default Passenger Pegs on an Iron with Short Shots

Has anyone ever installed passenger pegs on an Iron with Short Shots already on it? I have the Harley passenger peg mount kit and it looks like I'm going to have to remove the exhaust to install the passenger peg mount on the right side. Has anyone been able to install these without removing the Short Shots with some sort of low profile wrench or something?

No, not enough room to get the bolt in. Had to take mine off.

What he said.

I have an allen wrench just for this purpose. It is ground almost all the way down...just left enough about 1/2" on it.

I thought about doing that but ended up just taking the exhaust off. Of course I ended up dropping and losing one of the exhaust nuts when putting everything back on. Good times for sure

I got it on just fine. It might not be as tight as the rest, but how much wait is really on it??

The problem was I couldn't get any wrench in there to turn the bottom peg mount bolt at all because of the exhaust bracket being so close to the peg mount and I wanted to get both of the bolts nice and tight just to be safe.
