Screen for a Sportster

Screen for a Sportster
I need some advice on screens please.
My '04 XLH883 has a fairly large screen (typical cruiser screen - make unknown) which is quite effective at keeping the wind off your chest and strain off the arms on motorway trips etc. but does cause the much mentioned buffeting of the head. I've fiddled about with a few adjustments (it isn't adjustable so I've made some brackets) to raise and lower the height without any change. I've taken it off for now and ithe bike looks much better but it's very windy - too much for me for motorway riding! I was looking for a more 'sportier' screen - something to just deflect the wind a bit - not a rain shield! Has anyone got any advice? I've come across Puig Custom II screens on the Net - they look like what I'm after but I thought I'd ask to see if anyone has fitted one, if so did it go on alright? Did it look ok with the small Harley head light? Does it work!? And has anyone got any pictures or any other suggestions.

FWIW...
I had a National Cycle Fly Screen on my old VROD. I wanted something to help with the wind, but wasn't as large as a touring type shield. I think the same screen is used across multiple models/family.
It did make a noticeable difference in the wind hitting in the chest area after you were going 20+ MPH. However, it did seem to push more wind upward into my face. If wearing a full face helmet it wasn't too bad. If not wearing a helmet or a half it was very noticeable. I tried adjusting the height and the angle of the screen to help, but it placed it higher than what I thought looked good on the bike.
In my experience you either get 1) one for the looks or 2) one for functionality, but none do both real well.

If you want to try the bigger shield again, a set of lowers may solve your buffetting issue. I've heard it's the wind coming under the windshield and up your body across your face that makes your skull rattle. I haven't tried it, but I hear it works.

Memphis Shades also makes some interesting "Sport" shields.

I saw a slipstreamer tombstone windscreen on a sportster on one of the main HD message boards. Looked good so I tried the tinted version on my 48. I had to fidget with the positioning and needed plumber's tape to make the screws stay tight, but I like the finished product. The screen is big enough to stop the wind trying to blow me off the bike at speed and there is little, if any, buffeting. Its small enough that I still feel the breeze while riding. Only cost around $60 on amazon and it has an "old school" kind of look -- so I'm happy with the investment.
