Default BCT Baffles Out - SE II Baffles Back In!

I have the original SE II Screaming Eagle slip-ons and have had Big City Thunder (BCT) baffles in them for 6 years. I decided to replace the BCT baffles with the ones that came stock with the SE II's to get a better sense of the difference. Gotta say that I am kind of fond of the stock SE II baffles. Not as loud as the BCT's yet they still provide a nice Harley sound. I know it's just an illusion, but the bike even sounds and seems to run smoother without the bigger "bark" of the BCT's, so I think I'll keep the stockers in for a while and see if I get "attached" to them. It's nice having the option...

are the stock baffles wrapped in fibreglass? Mine aren't - just wondering whether I should give them a wrap to cut the volume a hair.

If you decide to eventually ditch the BCT baffles, shoot me a PM.

I'm sorry, but my experience with trying to post audio and video files to get a sense of exhaust note is not good, nor do I feel the result is representative of the actual sound, so I don't believe be posting the SE II's with the stock baffles would really tell you anything.

No, the stock baffles have no fiberglass anywhere - they are all steel. I doubt you could get enough fiberglass on them/around them to have any effect on the sound. Are you saying your stock SE II baffles are too loud?

Thanks for the offer to consider the BCT's but I doubt I will ever let go of them. Are they not still available?

I understand. I was just curious to overall hear how the SEII sound like. Seems to be hard-to-find mufflers.

Yeah, they are, I'm just too cheap of a bastard to pay new prices, lol.
