X14iEds just installed
Went home for lunch & wife said a package came for me in the mail...it was the X14iEDs I ordered from Nightrider. Put them on in about 10 minutes complete with dielectric grease on connections & zip-tied securely.
Had to take it for a long way ride back to work to check them out. I gotta say...WOW, what a difference!!! It idles MUCH smoother, decel popping (whcih was minimal anyway) is completely gone. bike is much more responsive from low rpms and much smoother cruising down the highway at 60-65, vibration in the handlebars at highway speeds are half what it was.
Me and another guy are going on a 75-80 mile ride after work today, so I'll get a better feel for it then and see if it makes a difference on my oil temp. Right now oil temp runs around 200 on 'normal' days & 210-215 on hot days (90+) after riding for a long time. I'm hoping it makes a 5-10 degree difference in my oil operating temp, but we'll see.
Anyway, first impression....best $100 I've spent on the bike yet!

You can order the XIED's direct from www.nightrider.com I have used these on three bikes and they work really well.

"Stole" the X14ied's from the Sportster and put them on the Superglide 96"er. Took about 15 minutes to do the swap since I have to remove the Glide's seat to hook up for the rear cylinder. Ied's took care of the slow speed surging and seems to make it run a little cooler, and just runs better overall.
Nightrider recommends 13.8 AFR for the big twins, but the X14's at 14.0 AFR seem to work good enough, since I'm too thrifty (aka cheap) to spend another $100 when it's such a quick job to swap between bikes.

I have read that....right now my fuel light comes on at about 125-130 miles & I expect that to be more like 115-120 now, depending on how I ride of course.

Sharkman, the X14's sure make both bikes run better, and after hundreds of fillups on the Sportster and quite a few on the Superglide, I don't see any difference in fuel mileage on either, probably because the engines are running cooler and producing more power at the same throttle level.
Sportster still gets 55-60 mpg no matter how hard I'm pushing it, and I rev it pretty hard sometimes. The BT gets about 50 mpg still, but it gets to cruise mostly. I save the fun stuff for the Sporty.
