X14iEds just installed

That's true, it could be done. I just liked the idea that nightrider has already done that & that I have the right resistance without doing testing on my own & finding the right resistors, then trying to wire them in and make them water proof. Essentially, you're right...all they are are resistors. Some things are better DIY projects, but I felt for this one spending the $100 was worth it for me.

I thought about doing this awhile back but never got any input on it. Seems REALLY easy but the plugs are gonna cost money, too!

Just an update....rode for about 70 miles last night with the X14iEDs installed. Bike is smoother at highway speeds and is noticably more responsive. Also, less vibration and smoother when idling. Oil temp was running between 195 & 200 while cruising...maybe a little cooler by 5 degrees or so than before but not much difference. Bike sounds slightly different now also both while idling and at highway speeds...don't know how to describe that really, just different.
So far, I'm impressed. I'll know more about fuel mileage after I run a few more miles and see when my fuel light comes on.

It will change your closed loop AFR(less than 4,000 rpms & less than 40% throttle) from 14.6 to 14.0. I have SEII (race application) slip-ons and no other performance mods currently. I'm going to add an SE breather this winter.
