I would not scratch the parts with a key just let. A base/clear will require up to three months for complete curing of the paint.

Uh...its not clear coated, so gas will ruin it. Keys will scratch even the best professional clear coated paint job, so both of those tests are not really good tests.

However, posting up later about paint fade is definitely something I will do.

Its been rainy and overcast since I did this paint job, so I haven't had a single opportunity to take any pics that have a chance of showing anyone what the paint really looks like. First bit of sunshine I will have pics up, bank on it.

great post. Im gonna get some of this stuff. Must have gotten some rock chips or something on my gas tank. Tiny little flecks of bare metal shine through. Be nice if it was warranted but Im thinking not. Only 8 months old.

excuse my nooby question, but what is the meaning of "DENIM" paint? it just looks like matte black to me. Can someone explain the Denim paint. Thank you in advance.

Denim is just HD's term for matte or flat finish paint. They have a few different colors of the denim paint besides black.
