I am a little confused. $16 every few years for bushings doesn't seem terrible to me.

Get you a Softail, cheaper in the long run since it does not have the precision jiffy stand like a sporty. Just the old common flop around $100 ho hole. Sorry elk started it.

New bushings every couple of years? What bike are you riding where you have to replace them that often?

Agreed. My bushings are still perfectly fine on the jiffy stand. I don't expect to replace them for at least another ten years.
