Hi I saw that vance and hines straight shot slip on fits 04 up sportster. I have a 02 sportser 883, I wonder if it would fit. or is there any way to make it work? thanks

 

The balance tube on 03 & older Sportsters is just below the carb but the 04 & up Sportsters are down low and hidden as part of the mounting bracket. The slipons themselves have the port in them. They'll work on your bike but you'll need to plug those holes and make a mount adapter deal.

 

I am thinking about getting them and not sure if they will fit, thanks for the info I guess I can go ahead and get them on my bike.

 

If your just looking for cheap loud, Id say (against my will) just get the ebay drag pipes, still just as loud, cheaper than vance and hines, can put baffles in if so wished later on down the line, and you can get them for your year model, so no mod. fab needed.

Does 04 head pipe fits 02 sportster? it is hard to find a oem head pipe for a 02 sportster therefore, it will be a lot easier finding a 04 up sportster head pipe. And I can get a vance and hines slip on alot with that. any idea?

 

There seem to be a lot of muffler options. Not that much in headers from the head to the muffler. Why is that?

Also, looking for recommendations for mufflers. Don't care about sound. Performance followed by fit and should not make cornering any more difficult than stock.
