Default 07 1200r...

07 1200R bought in July 09 with a little over 6,000 miles on it, just rolled 25,000 + last month. Mostly all highway and interstate miles. No serious issues.

No enough yet! '08 XL1200C--~10,000 mis. Rocker cover gasket leak fixed by dealer under "Certified pre-owned" warranty. Other than that, routine maintenance.

this concerns me that so many of you have had Rocker cover gasket leaks since I have a 2006 with 2400 miles. Is this the same thing as the valve cover gaskets?? These are cheap/easy to fix right? I notice that the chrome push rod tubes on the right side on mine usually have a very small about of oil on them buts that nothing. I've only had this bike for 3 weeks so I cant say much

This isn't exactly an answer to your question, but might provide a little more about engine longevity.

My 06 has about 82,000 miles. However, the first 65,000 were with the 883 engine. I couldn't believe how clean the engine was on the inside. It looked like a brand new engine. I wouldn't hesitate to put that engine back on the bike, and ride it another 65,000 miles.
