Default Going for PC and Dyno tune, got some ??

I have a 2011 forty eight with short shots, vh naked air filter and x14ied's. I'm going to remove the x14's and get a PC and dyno tune. I love the way the short shots look and sound but now i'm thinking if i'm spending the money to do it right for perfomance, should i really be running true duals?

Does anyone know the difference in numbers between a tuned bike with short shots vs. say a decent 2 into 1? I have my eye on the bobcat. Would the performance difference be worth the extra money on another exhaust setup (it will be the 3rd since i got the bike in March). Any input and opinions would be much appreciated. Dyno sheets would be awesome!

I can't answer your question as far as whether a 2 into 1 or true duals is better, but I will tell you, on my 48 I run side shots and an RSD A/C, my dyno tune turned up 80.89 horsepower. According to my research, the stock 48 is just over 60hp stock, so a gain close to 20hp is pretty impressive. If you do happen to go with 2 into 1 I'd be interested to see your dyno results. I'd say your current setup is pretty close to mine, a side by side comparison would be nice for the forums.

I'll definitely post my results once i get them. The side shots have that "power chamber" though which supposedly give the benefits of a 2 into 1 while maintaining a dual look.

I'd be pretty happy with a 20hp increase over stock! Were all your improvements at the top end though? What differences in low and mid did you see after the tune?

Let me find my dyno sheet, I'll post it again. I can tell a major difference though, a little richer at idle, idle is slightly choppier. My only advice, if you have a good dyno engineer he will run through 40 plus miles on the dyno, so you should have a full tank of gas. Give me a minute on the dyno sheet.

here you go. Are you using the Screaming Eagle race tuner?

Nice looking torque band! I'm going with the power commander.

Honestly don't know if there is a difference other than price. I used the SERT as my good friend and master tech recommended it, can't wait to see results.
