Not sure what a square gasket is, unless they're meaning they replaced your primary inspection plate gasket when swapping out the fluid, which was unnecessary. And what's this "air filter gasket"?-must be something on the newer EFI's. I'm also not sure why in the hell you'd need new brake pads and spark plugs at 6,250 miles. Oh, and many people just re-use the same muffler clamps, and I'm not sure what the other "gaskets" charge is for since they already charged you for a square ring, o-ring, air filter gasket, muffler gaskets.
Exactly my thoughts...does the OP have an owners manual with the charts for scheduled service?

We work in kilometers in Dubai so its 1,000km, 5,000km and 10,000kms.

For the muffler clamps, I asked them why they needed them and they told me that the old ones were damaged (of course). For the rest of the stuff I am not too bothered, its only a few dollars. As for the brake pads, I will call them and ask if there was any damage to them and why they would need to be replaced so soon.

Appreciate your help guys, its made me that much wiser next time.

A good policy with any vehicle that goes into any place for service is to tell them that you want your old parts. that way you can inspect them yourself.

I got my 1k service done at dealer than bought a service manual and do the service myself, so much better 1. You learn your bike, allowing you to do other repairs yourself 2. You save money 3. You save money and its actually fun, take pride in your work haha

Dim,

I expect there are 3 issues here,
1. you are American taking your bike to a Dubai guy to have work done on an American bike, what? You should do the easy stuff yourself, it will not void the warranty. The pads did not need replacment.
2. You are on the odd side of the planet where IF you can get the parts they are 3X the price, get use to it. No Amsoil here.
3. As you are American the natural tendancy in the world is to price gouge you, be prepared with a list of what you want done, anything else you do not authorize thus don’t pay.

Living in the middle east for some time now I’m not politically correct and can say that as an American you must be aware, ready to argue and be correct.

Good luck,
