Default Holy Hannah, what a difference...

My new Progressive fork springs make. No more dive under hard braking, no excessive lift under accel., the harshness over expansion joints and bridge joints is all but gone and control on bumpy roads is way improved. All and all, the bike stays planted much better than before. Well worth the money spent.

I installed those also, but I think the most improvement was from proper fork oil level.
How did you set your oil level?

Measured 5.5" from top, a little over 10 oz HD type E fork oil in each fork, spacers left at length as provided by Progressive. Did 300 miles today, man oh man, what a difference, even with the heavy winds in the region today.

I filled them to 5.7 with BelRay 10w, and yeah, I am very pleased with the results. The handling is more confident, and the sloppy rear suspension sticks out like a sore thumb now. Unfortunately, the rest of the suspension mods are not in this year's budget

How much money? Also did you do the work yourself or have a tech do it?

Cap et al, I did like you only I use BelRay 7w fork oil, I also installed Progressive 13.5" 440standards on the back. The ride is as you say unruffled by bumps whether in turns or straight and front and rear work in perfect harmony. The springs and shocks have approximately 15,000 miles on them and have not changed a bit since installed.

I have progressive 412's for the rear and have been considering the front springs, sounds like it might be a worthy investment. I think they are on e-bay new for about $70-$75.

Thanks for the write up...

With the help of a friend; $90
with shipping. I'm leaving the rear stock for now, I'm happy with them. By the way, much better stability in high winds.
