Default Mini apes adjustment

I've only had my Sportster for a few weeks now and I would like to adjust the handlebars forward a little bit. I've looked around this forum but couldn't find anything. Is it just a matter of loosening the four allen screws a bit and pushing the bars forward so they stand up straighter? I didn't want to start loosening anything before I got some feedback. Thanks guys.

No. On my bike, once you do that, you have to also adjust the clutch and brake lever. Then the blinker lights if you have them.

Having to adjust the hand controls depends on how far forward you push the bars. If you push them really far forward without adjusting the controls, your levers will be pointing down at an awkward angle. Even so, it's just a few more bolts to loosen to make those adjustments.

yes 4 bolts and put them where you want them. Make sure when you tighten back up there is equal space between top and bottom clamp on both 2 left bolts and 2 right bolts.

I broke several tools. I had to use snap on. It felt like someone had used loctite on the lever bolts
