Well, UPS finally arrived around 8:30 pm, with uninstalling the stockers the day before with the WD40 assistance, installing this evening was a breeze.
I applied a small amount of Permatex Ultra Copper High Temp Silicon to the inside of the Cycle Shacks, along with a little amount on the topside of the new gaskets.
Waiting for the 1 hr mark to tighten down the clamps, and then its a 24 hr cure time.
I'm not sure I can wait till 9 pm tomorrow to go ripping down the street !
Thanks Everyone

This thread is worth bringing back, because I praise about my cycle shacks all the time. They are the best exhaust money can buy period. I can't comment on performance, but at least sound for me...
I was looking at the hammer performance site and they have a nice link that compares all the exhaust they tested with their kits. I was suprirsed to see cycle shacks on there. Surprisingly it was the closest contender to the Patriot Defender that they went with as far as top numbers go.

If anyone is looking for a meaner sound, These are worth giving a try.

I bought my "72" with Cycle Shacks installed.
When I first saw pics of the bike, I wasn't totally sold on them and I thought that if I bought the bike I would probably change them out...but that was before I actually heard them.
IMHO...they sound GREAT!
Over time I have decided I really like the design.
They have a distinct appearance that helps set it apart.
These Cycle Shacks aren't going anywhere!

My '07 XL1200 came with Cycle Shack MXL-130SS slip-ons. I can confirm the 105db rating, btw. I took them off for several months, I missed them immediately. They've been back on since spring and they're staying. Every time I start the bike, I just smile. Looks great, sounds great, like a Harley should!
