I put the torq cones and lollypop baffles in the drag pipes on my bike. There is no noticable power loss than when i had SE II slip on mufflers with BCT baffles. It is not really any louder either. Now what?

Bump up from the depths...

I want to make up some lollypops this weekend. The commercial units I see for sale are solid, but I've seen them here with hollow centers (simple washers screwed/welded to the eyebolt). Is there an advantage to one vs. the other? What OD do you want the washer? 1200 sporty, stock slip ons with removed baffles.

No welding required if you buy some eyebolts.

You could also get some thunder torque inserts from DK Customs. These guys actually did dyno runs on their inserts and for ~$25 you get a quantifiable boost in torque through the whole range. Not just an estimate from someone's butt dyno.

I would think it might, due to the slowing of the exhaust pulse. If your carbureted then it may tighten you up, if your injected your ecm should compensate for the added backpressure/richening effect by the changes your o2 sensors see.

It is counter intuitive, but with the Thunder Torques (and any properly tuned exhaust system) they actually increases exhaust gas velocity. Reversion is what slows down exhaust gas velocity and creates flat spots or dips in the power/torque in the low and mid range.

With the Thunder Torques you get more power at the same throttle, so less throttle is needed to travel the same distance. This equals better MPG in THEORY.

HOWEVER, most people like to play with the extra power, and no real increase in MPG is actually realized most of the time.

Kevin, I know every bike/exhaust is going to be different but since youve already done the experimenting....."usually" what direction should the thunder torques face to mellow the tone the most?
