That's what I always did when making some lollie pops. A small L-bracket works good as well.

Thanks for the input. Instead of having a washer welded to a bolt I used those football shaped thumbscrews. I'll let yall know how it works.

Streetfighter: did you notice that much of a difference, performance-wise, with the lollypops on? I used to have V&H Straight Shots and put the BCT Original Baffles - which are just very expensive lollypops. It increased the performance a bit, gave it a boost, but made the bike sound like crap.

IDK if it was the pipes, pops or both. But I have a huge increase in power vs before.

Voony.... my Sporty was quite sluggish at low RPM, I installed lollipops and it is now quite responsive pretty much at any RPM... cheap mod that is worth every penny...

Changing straight over to drags will actually suck performance out of your bike at least at cruising speeds and top end. You should have noticed a low speed torque increase. The Lolipops probably were responsible for getting some of the midrange back.

IMHO I'd use both, the lollypops will help the bottom end and the cones will help stop the returning sound wave that pushes the raw exhaust gas back into the cylinder. If you can't afford the cones drop me a line I have an extra set in my junk box.
