Struts To Shock?

Struts To Shock?
Tired of riding around on struts and I'd like to get some shocks. Problem is finding the correct size. The struts are 10 in eyelet to eyelet and I'd like to find some shocks that offer that size since I like the way my bike sets with them on. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it...

If you replace your struts with shocks you have to make allowance for the wheel moving! Which is more important, the look of the bike when stationary, or while you are sitting on it? If you fit say 11" shocks, when you sit on the bike they will sit down at least half an inch and get close to the length of your struts.

Yes your right..........Although at static (sitting) they are stiff and solid, whereas in dynamics (movement) they do absorb road shock nicely. I like a solid feel in the back-end, I guess that's from all the hardtails I used to ride in my younger days.
side-note: whether they are 10" or 10.5" it doesn't really matter, what matters is the fact that they drop the backend down to a respectable ride height.

Looking at it from the side and the rear, a 1/2" is not going to make that much of a difference. Remember whatever size you get is measured unloaded, so the weight of the bike is going to be the loaded height of the ride, minus rider weight.
