GudOlBoy... what setup do you have for your double-up seat and sissy bar? That is exactly what I've been looking for.
The whole setup is from HD. Passenger pillion part # 51734-10, passenger pegs part # 50203-04, sissy bar part # 51146-10, docking hardware part # 53529-04. Sorry for thread jack.
Congratulations! I'm sure you will love it, but I think you're more Dyna than Sportster sized. One thing I'm certain you will not love is that you'll be at the gas station every 75 miles with that (IMO) ridiculous 2.1 gallon gas can.
Just put the deposit down on a black 48, first Harley(grew up riding my Dads). I have always liked sportsters and the 48 looks awesome. I am a little nervous about it because I am 6'1' and 220lbs but it felt really good to ride.
Too small maybe??? I need some reassurance from some tall riders.

If the ride felt good, I would say it's a good fit for you. With that little gas tank, you won't be going far enough to get uncomfortable.
