Default cv carb problems

i rebuilt my cv carb and now nothing happens, put new float needle in and no gas shooting in carb, took it apart put old needel in, bike started, gas started flowing out of the bottom bowl over flow spout im guessing thats what it is,that stopped leaking and now its getting spark and has gas going in carb but no matter how much gas goes in the carb it will not even fire the bike up,bike ran before i rebuilt carb, carb did leak but bike ran, help would be great, thanks.

I may be wrong, but isn't there a screw that shuts off the overflow spout? Is it closed like I think it should be? If it's not leaking, and it's open, then the bowl is not getting fuel... sounds like a possible float mis-adjustment. Might want to check out xlforum ...the gurus are there.
