Ordered a throttle cable, idle cable, and choke cable. They sent me 2 idle cables and the wrong choke cable.

I've already contacted them about the order (emailed a picture of the packages they sent with part numbers showing), and I'm sure they'll fix this soon, but I haven't heard back yet. I'm fairly sure the throttle and idle cables are not interchangeable because they use different size retainer bits (they did get those right) and they cost about a dollor different as well. So I'm gonna have to hold out on that.

But I REALLY need to change out this choke cable since mine is just hanging there useless because the cheap friggin plastic piece snapped, and I'm just wondering if the one they sent will work. Here are the details:
bike: 2003 XLH 1200
choke cable part number: 29238-92B
the one they sent: 29229-88D

A bit of research shows that the one they sent is made for some other sportster models specifically, but I couldn't find anything to let me know whether it would or wouldn't work for sure on mine.

The store's return policy says they'll only take it back unopened, so I don't want to just open it up to try unless I can find out for sure one way or the other. Can anyone tell me definitively whether this one will work on my bike?

P.S. This is what I get for trying to save $2 by ordering online. Lesson learned!

 

Don't know what company you are referring to, but 29238-92B is obsolete. The 29229-88D is the replacement and is the correct 8" cable.
