There was a stock suspension upgrade to the XR with the adjustable forks and shocks that was like 2 grand worth of suspension for a 1k sticker increase. The suspension is likely the complete difference that causes the quick dropoff in value. The XR is a good looking bike, but it's kinda the weird halfy state of a harley trying to be a full sport bike, it is a solid performing bike, but I would look at an 09 1125R if I wanted a "harley" sport style bike. It just doesn't fit what I was looking for.

Nick, the XR was released here in Europe before it was released in North America. Also we continue to get the 883R, which has been discontinued over there, so the availability of models varies around the World, along with taste!
