Want performance don't buy a HD. It will never perform against any model for that matter. We don't buy them for performance.

There is some truth to that.

A used Yamaha Warrior in its stock form will put 100ft*lbs to the rear wheel for about $8000 for one in great condition.

When I had one, it wasn't uncommon to see guys pushing 120ft*lbs just with a chip and a tune, pipes, and the factory air box.

Mine did 135mph and it was stock.

Most any inline motor will blow the doors off any HD. My 83 Yamaha 650S that i had back in the 80's would blow any HD away with the exception of a Vrod. Inlines were on non crotch rockets were great motors all around.

The Warrior is an air cooled, push rod V-twin.

But I hear you on the inline motors.
