You have a brand new bike! Why are you worrying about failures already? Go ride the **** out of that thing and cross that bridge when you get there many miles later

haha i do ride the **** out of it, ecu failure is my last concern, main reason is clean up wire cluster , make the bike simpler , and remove my side covers and replace my stock oil tank.. i got a vision in my head of it .

The bundle of wires can be minimized quite a bit and they WILL fit in the backbone. I swapped a Buell from EFI to carb. I used a Mikuni carb, Screamin Eagle ignition in the cone, VOES and basic wiring.

It sounds like you've already convinced yourself to do it...regardless of the input you're receiving here.

im not all the way convinced just yet its a drastic thing to do to a 2011 , i might try the wire tuck first see and see how it looks , do i need a tank lift for the tuck ??

If you run them on top without minimizing the bundle you will. You could easily do some bundle separating. Run some through & run some on top if you want to keep the tank low.

Yuck! I avoid buying anything with a carb if I can afford it.

As to tuning, why bother? If you find a decent tuner, how often do you think you will tune it? Certainly not on a daily basis. EFI can adapt much easier than a carb and does not need to be tuned for each change of condition.

i tune as far as engine mods will go, im always looking to make my bike faster, im currently using a tuner wich my bike is running decent off of but it can deff be better ,, another reason, ive had carberated bikes my entire life and i can work on them i cant work on no ecu
, and i will never let someone else work on my bike , its just a thing i have ..
