After some reading on this and other forums I decided to go full synthetic. Went with Amsoil 20W-50 for crankcase and primary. Used Harley's OEM oil filter.

I've put less than 1000 miles in about one months time on this bike since I bought it from HD. The crankcase oil was nasty....HD said they changed it....after seeing the oil I now wonder. The oil coming out of the filter was even worse. Very dark almost blackish color. I may just change the oil again in another month just to see what it looks like.
