Yours looks good with the bigger tank.
You have got to be kidding me.....do you really think that all sportsters looks the same? I love the look of the 48 and think that Harley nailed it right out of the box. If I was a smaller guy I would have a 48 for sure. I just dont see how you think that all sportsters look the same though.

Love the look of my tank on my 48, but the range just isnt great. I think the peanut tank was much better matched to the 125cc engine it originally came on than a 1200

Doesn't the 1200C come with a fat tyre and big tank?

I just feel that conversion like this strips the 48 of its most beautiful part. JMO btw.

It is on the to do list but closer to the bottom. Next up is the power commander and dyno tune.
Looks good bro !
Here is my 48 ( nobody on this forum likes it either, haha.)
It is a totally different direction, but its mine, and I love it.
I have the PCV, and a dyno and it runs like a swiss watch ! Your going to love it.

doesnt look bad or mess with the style too much in my opinion

some people forget however that we all customize our bikes and who is to say we cant do this or that with model X

Looks great. If it wasn't for mod $$ income, HD would put this into production.

I think your bike looks sick! What kinda tank is that?

I think a key to pulling off the larger tank on the 48 is some kinda apes. It makes it look like a real old school bike. I love the font HD put on the new 2012 Iron tanks in the matte black. That would be a cool tank to have on the 48. I'd like to see one with a sweet springer front end too.

Yup. I love the RSD bars you got on yours Rick. So damn $$$ though!

I was looking at the denim black tank off the iron before i did the swap but then it wouldn't match the vivid black on the rest of the bike. And i got a pretty sweet deal on this vivid black nightster.
