^^^^do that voony. like reed said, spring seat without the springs if you got suspension. just looks cleaner and more appropriate imo. also seems to folllow the lines of the bike better.

 

I really want to do this on my Iron but those stupid spring seat mounting kits are freaking expensive.

I would if I had a shop and tools to do the job. By the time I buy everything I need to do this I might as well just buy the kit.

But I love all your DIY stuff Mreed and hopefully someday I will have a place where I can do some of these mods myself. Guess I just have to be content with my bike as is for the moment and ride the crap out of it.

 

Right on...but yes, they are ridiculously overpriced.
