Default 21 Inch Front Wheel on 48?

I know there is no problem installing a 21 inch wheel on a Nightster however, the stock wheel on a 48 in 16 inches so it is quite a jump. Obviously the front fender has to come off. My concern is the fork brace is also going to have to come off and nobody makes an aftermarket fork brace (that I know of) for the 48 front end. I could possibly have something machined but that is going to be pretty pricey. If I am not going to run a front fender, I would like to run a fork brace. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why would you want to do that? If you want a 21 inch front wheel buy a custom. The fat tire is what make the 48 what it is.

^^

would ruin the look of the bike

Im sure it could be done though

I never understood the appeal of a huge skinny *** wheel in the front anyway

Yes, the wheel is a 16, but the tire has a much taller sidewall than then 21. So, in reality the overall diameter is roughly the same.

true. the OD of the 16", 19", and the 21" are only marginally different with tires mounted.

Performance Machine built a 48 and put a skinny 21 on the front. The stock fork brace is still on it.

Holy ridiculous pic! lol. If you want to put a 21 on your bike you should. It's your bike anyway. You may need to space the rotor out a bit to line up in the caliper and you'll definitely need new wheel spacers but it's all pretty straight forward.
