Broken drive belt

Broken drive belt
So I broke my drive belt saturday night...harley dealer quoted me 215 plus tax for a new one. Figured I could get the width and tooth number and find one cheaper. None of the guy's could or wanted to help me out. I've found a couple of places that are less pricey. Can someone tell me how many teeth the stock drive belt is on an 09 1200C? Width is 1 1/4...??
Really appreciate it, im sure this has been asked but I didn't have much luck searching the forum for it..

Check out this link.
Not only does it show a diagram of every part on your bike...it is showing that it is a 137 tooth and this dealer is saying $148.99 for a price.

The short-coming of Ronnie's website is that you cannot get the Harley part number from them. If you are working on your bike you really should have the factory service manual and parts list. Essential bedtime reading and hey, you can answer most problems you come across.
When looking for 'cheaper' parts just check shipping costs as well! That Harley belt is probably no more expensive than a 'cheaper' one plus shipping and could be in your hand in minutes. Don't shop around just because you can, but be wise at the same time!

Not true. After selecting your item(s), click "Send To Cart" and you'll be given the itemized list including the Harley part number(s).
FYI - The part from Ronnie's w/shipping is $166.99. That's considerably less expensive than the dealer's $215 +tax.

There ya go!
Service manual is still a must, but these diagrams are more detailed than what you find in the manual and can be very useful.
We use it almost daily in our shop.

Out for a saturday night ride with the girlfriend, hit second hard and it broke. I put a metzler rear on it a few months ago and have shifted it hard many times since then. I checked the tension about a month ago too. Guess it was a little loose idk..
