I was talking to an old biker guy yesterday that had a 70 ironhead that was sweet! he was like "yeah they call the sportys a girls bike, but back in the 70's there was no girls riding thier own bikes. I was like that's right and foget what they say, my bike will knock a big twin in the dirt unless it is moded up.

To the guy that said a Fat Boy is easier to ride than a sporty-it must be you, becasue i have rode a newer Fat boy and it was not easy like any of the sportys i have rode. I have had many bike and been on many bikes and the Fat Boy felt just like the name-fat, heavy, slow and handled like a truck.

Factory seat?
In 2009, I did 600 miles in a weekend on the factory seat and it was pretty bad.

I changed it for a C&C lopro, which was many times worse.

Then I had Mean City Cycles restuff the stock seat, and now it's much better. I can pretty much ride out an entire tank of gas (100 miles or so) before I really am uncomfortable.

Who cares what folk ride? Don't respond to guys wanting to bark about whatever type of bike they ride. Just rode 100 miles this afternoon on wife's 883 low. Loved every mile of it. I have scooters that we ride around town also. Riding is riding no matter what it is. No need to defend types or sizes of bikes. You don't hear Goldwing riders belittling Shadows or Rebel bikes. Just my 2 cents. get a life and ride safe!

Jesus, yeah 600 on the factory Iron seat is something I don't think I would enjoy at all.

I pickup my mustang seat from UPS tonight, I can't wait to put it on and go cruise in comfort!

I tell you, after the C&C lopro turned out to be uncomfortable, my next alternative was a debate between a mean city cycles refoaming job or a mustang vintage solo or wide solo...

I figured I would try the less expensive route first.

I restuffed the seat on my Buell and it made a really big difference, but it was such a PITA that I decided to just pony up the cash for the Wide Solo.

I'm hoping to sell the factory seat and recoup some of the price of the mustang, maybe I'll throw it up on CL and see if anyone bites...

Not gonna lie to ya, the mustang is SUUUPER comfortable!
But, it takes a bit to get used to as it is going to raise you up and back about an inch. When I first took it for a ride it felt strange in the corners, so take it slow! After a week, the only time I put the stock back on is for when I need the passenger pillion and sissy bar.
