Default wrapped the pipes and lowered the rearend

i finally broke down and wrapped my 2into1 blackouts. they were way too hot without heat shields. the wrapped has cut down on the heat significantly and i like the look more than i thought.

i also added burly rear shocks to lower the rear end. i bought the whole kit and have the springs to lower the front, but i don't know if i going to do the front. i kinda like it the way it is. any thoughts whether or not to lower the front end?

I've always just lowered the rear and left the front as is. I like the rake of the bike that way, plus, you might have to do something with the kickstand if you lower the front too.

I (also) just wrapped my pipes - never thought I would, I've always been a bit od a Chrome ***** - but I really like the look.
I'm curious - how long does it usually take for the smoke to subside?

Wrapped mine last month. Huge improvement and though it was not the look I wanted, I actually like it and have gotten a lot of compliments.

Love it man.
I like the front end as is.
Further more...Your bars look good too.
What did you do for riser & speedo?
Kinda hard to see. It all looks good man.
I just started a thread today about apes on a custom.

I'm w/ you. Didn't to wrap them but they were too hot and i really like the look. I used hd wrap. I let it set up until it totally dried. I went for a two hour ride and it smelled like *** and smoke for about an hour.

Imo any bars other than stock and some drag bars look bad on the stock custom riser. I used biltwell slimline risers and and rsd speedo relocator and idiot lights. The rsd was expensive and presented some fit issues, but i like the speedo low and in front of the bars. The bars are biltwell friscos. They're great, but you have to drill them yourself to internally wire them. Not hard just a little bit of a pita.
