Do a search on youtube for "Sportster RSD Apes" or something similar. There are a ton of videos on there that will show you exactly what they will look like with a nightster riser/speedo setup. To be honest, if you want the speedo front and center its your only option.

That Sporty in that video looks hideous. The geometry will be awful going down the road. Geez all that crap on that bike, and a stock seat. That was the first thing I changed even before I rode it home.

Im a rider, I build everything with ridability in mind. Thats why Im anti-ape bars. They arent good for cornering and sudden haphazard maneuvers. . Yeah they look really cool.

Drummer. It will be this winter sometime. Im having too much fun riding right now to take it down
BTW you are lower your head to see the speed, on the side you not have to move your head as far. When you get used to it, it is faster than the center spot. I know a few guys here who have gone a cheaper do it yourself bracket.

This is the non "C" way. BTW if you can find someone that has done this and get there stock parts, you can keep your center spot, just move it above and between the handlebars.

If I may, the installation of the bars, swapping of the risers and relocation of the speedo is not hard. You just need to get the right parts and tools, and you're good to go.

A month or so ago I put 12" apes on my 883C. Had to remove the stock risers and speedo mount, extend the wires. I moved the speedo to the side of the tank with the autometer clamp that costed me $15. I bought risers for $30 from Drag Specialties, and the cable kit from Burly for $200 and so bucks.

PM if you need some help!

Information or tips about your installation would be helpful too.
I'm seriously thinking about putting these on my 1200c (pictured below)
Thanks for your participation.
I have the same bars on my 99 softtail nighttrain, they look cool but after riding a few hours my wrists start bothering me because the pullback is not much. it pushes your wrists out so i tried pulling my bars back towards me and that made my wrists push out even farther. it`s to bad to I really like the looks of em but they gotta go. rsd 12 inch chrome apes for sale. puttin some 14 carlini evilapes on next I think.

agreed, its honestly my least favorite part of my bike. When i bought the bike, i knew somewhere down the line id be replacing the riser assembly. I put a licks super bar on it, doesnt look bad, but im swapping mine out for an 8' t bar

Check out Road 6 Customs, they have damn near identical bars that come with a burly cable kit for the price of just the RSD bars.

BUT, I think the burly cables are trash (bad experience)
