Default Smoked the signals/brake light on the 48 (pics)

Took a few pics after cleaning her up from being caught in the rain last night...nice day outside too.

Looks really good!

Did you buy the lens already smoked? Or did you do them yourself using a spray? I was looking into that Nite-Shade spray used to smoke tail lights but not sure how it will come out.

Thanks man...I just did the front ones, not as dark though.

I sprayed them using Krylon Fusion for plastic spray in satin black. After I sprayed them and put them back on they looked a little "dry" (not sure how else to describe it. So I rub them down with goo-gone and it made the black seem deeper. I was only using goo-gone bc my fingers had paint on them and got on the front of the lens. I sprayed the inside of the housing only.

Silly question: I like the blacked out look but that makes them really dim at night....right?

It actually isn't too bad...I'll take a picture when it get darker outside.

Ya ...your right, not too bad. Going the LED route myself, just haven't made up my mind whether to use smoked lenses or not

if I went LED bulbs it would be really bright at night, just not in day light
