Cheap comfortable and easy springer seats don't exist! Haha, just kidding. The mounting kits are waaaaaaay overpriced, which is why I made mine out of a door hinge for under $15. I have a Biltwell seat and it's a beauty, bought it from a member on another forum. That, in my opinion, is the most cost effective route. Or you can scour the internet (C-list, flea-bay), there are deals out there just gotta put the work in.

Did you use weld on spring mounts? is their anyway of not having to weld to the frame? i don't have access to a welder.

Just bolt the springs straight to your frame.

Ya i guess that would work. I took a closer look at the frame under the seat and it can be drill quite easily. As for the front mount of the seat does it mount to the tank mount?

I welded two studs to my frame for the springs but there are bolt on kits available from many vendors. If you can't weld them yourself, take it to a muffler shop. They'll do it very cheap I'm sure. The front mount for me was a door hinge from Home Depot. I'll pm you the link (don't want to get banned for posting things from antoher forum).

Good luck and post some pics of whatever it is yo decide to do for the next member who has the same issue.
