ON my 05 the front nut is left handed...

Yes my CE set is still charging strong.
I watched a video just recently regarding the changing of a stator ....the clutch pack can stay on ....I'll try to find the video

Dude, Big twin motors are nothing like a Sportster motor, Nor are the Tranny or Primary drive.

THAT WILL NOT WORK ON A SPORTSTER.

Sportsters don't even have a Compensator, they just have an engine sprocket that happens to have a stator housed behind it.....

That photo also shows a locking tool in place between the sprockets. Buy one or make one.

Thanks for all the help. I got it done. No issues other than I stripped the heads on three of the stator torx bolts. I ended up welding a good bolt onto the head of the torx bolts, and they came right off. An air impact gun made this job.

Now i am looking for cHarlie's post on testing the system to make sure I'm good.

Voltage looks good coming from the stator, and from the regulator. I think I am back in buisness.

Had to cancel a road trip, but what do you do? The good news with that is my wife felt so bad I missed the trip said she would go with me next year if I give her enough notice to get the kids to Grandma's. She has never wanted to do that before.
